Mr. Ishwar Antaram Dhore was born in March 1976 in the village of Kurud in the Gadchiroli district. As his mother passed away at an early age, his schooling took place at an orphanage in Nagpur. After completing matriculation from an orphanage he then shifted to Chandrapur district and joined Anandvan in Hemlakasa village with Dr. Prakash Amte in social work. He worked there from 1995 to 1999. Then in the year 2000, he started working as a worker to serve the lepers at the Leprosy Prevention Committee, Shantivan Panvel. In 2003, he got married to Karuna and they both started living in Shantivan and their married life started. While both of them were working in Shantivan, the son of Rehubai Bhandare requested Ishwar to take care of his mother. His mother was completely Bedridan. The work of Karuneshwar Old age Care House started in 2005 at Chiple Panvel on a lease basis with that grandmother." As we are living our own life as orphans, we have to settle down somewhere, our family should not face any problem." this thought in Ishwar's mind made him purchase new land in Bhanghar, Panvel with the help of the locals. While working for Karuneshwar Old Age Care in 2009, he then decided to build a new house for the Old Age Care instead of his own house and now the work of Karuneshwar Oldage Care House has been going on in its own architecture since 2014 through public participation. Without any support when there was nothing, Ishwar sir took up this work and is now happily working with some activists.
